Hunting in New Mexico

Application for draw hunt licenses can be made on-line at the NM Game & Fish website. (see link below)  The non-resident application fee of $27 is charged to your credit card when the application is submitted.  On-line applications can be modified or withdrawn.  In early April, but after the application period has closed, the fee for the actual license will be charged to your card.  In June you will either receive a license or the license fee will be refunded to your card.  The “New Mexico Big Game & Trapper Rules and Information” booklet is available for download from the same website where you do your applications.   

Be sure to read the “Outfitted Hunts” topic on page 16 of the booklet.  Be sure that the agreement you sign with your outfitter states that ALL of the legally required permits and registrations have been obtained and are in force.
