ONLINE - NEW MEXICO IBEX APPLICATIONS 2008
(Valid until April 9th 2008)
IMPORTANT: Do your on-line application
right away (April 9 deadline)
so that if your on-line attempt fails you have time to recover. Sometimes the Game & Fish website GOES DOWN
as the application deadline nears. Although we are always happy to speak
with your on the phone, these instructions quide you through the ibex application step by step and you need not
contact us. New Mexico requires you to establish an on-line identification account. This account is simply an administrative
and security procedure to expedite your application(s). If you applied last year, your account is still active
and you can use it this year.
We seldom book to capacity, if you draw a tag we will probably
be available to guide you!
Go to the NM Game & Fish "Home Page" via: www.wildlife.state.nm.us
1. Click
the Click here to Apply Now
link.
2. If you have an account, log in to it. If not, click Not Registered.
3. Verify that your name appears after the "welcome" at the top of the screen.
4. Within the Main Menu click on Draw Hunts.
5. Read this screen then click on Apply Now.
6. Read this screen in its entirety. Then click Create new Application.
7. Click
the "check box" in the yellow stripe, then click Continue To Hunts.
8. On the DRAW screen select the "April 8, 5pm. Deadline."
9. Click
the Species drop-down menu arrow and select Ibex.
10. In the "1st choice" row click
the Select Hunt Type drop-down arrow.
11. If you've not had a "once in a lifetime"
ibex license, click Any Legal Weapon.
12. Click
the Select Hunt
drop down arrow and select Hunt Code IBX-1-525.
13. If you are willing to hunt with a muzzleloader, click Select Hunt Type in the "2nd Choice" row then choose Muzzleloader and then Hunt Code IBX-3-540.
14. At this point you could select the bow hunt as your 3rd choice. You should speak with us before doing that.
15. Ignore the empty box beneath the words "IBEX LICENSE NUMBER."
16. Click
Save Application and Pay,
enter payment info and click Purchase.
Soon your screen will display a "Payment Receipt." A similar documant will be sent to your email address.
Print one or both of these documents. From here you can click on "Draw Hunts" and apply for another species
or you can click
LOGOUT at the
upper right corner of the screen.
